Flying a kite is great fun on a windy day. It’s also much more relaxing than time spent playing a video game..
Kids just love kites and although some won’t admit to it right away, so do most adults!
Sending us to dreamy lands was the choice of Brazilian artist Marcelo Jácome – (born 1980) who managed to fill the huge display space at Saatchi Gallery, with this intriguing piece of art, composed of tens of colorful kites woven together and hung up in the air with cotton threads ..
Running wild and free, Planos-pipas n17 is definitely wonderful to look at from all perspectives .. no two angles are the same ..
The artwork is part of the Paper Exhibition at Saatchi Gallery, on display from 18 June to 3 November 2013. We highly recommend that you check it out if you happen to be in London. (http://www.saatchigallery.com/)
